Platinum Games’ perplexing countdown

Here at TVGB we just love reporting on random mysterious online countdowns almost as much as developers love using them. Platinum , creators of Bayonetta, are the latest culprits. Their whizzy timer on their <a href="http://www.platinum.co.jp/” target=”_blank”>official Japanese site, which is due to reach zero in almost exactly six days at the time of writing, features a host of circles and stars zipping about the place in a hypnotic fashion, but absolutely no information on what it is we’re actually counting down to. However, with the likes of Shinji Mikami (responsible for crazy capers such as Killer 7 and Viewtiful Joe) and Hideki Kamiya (Okami) heading the company, who knows what mental shenanigans Platinum has in store for us.
