News: Tokyo Game Show attendance drops on last year
The Tokyo Game Show this year attracted visitor numbers of 185,030, show organiser CESA has confirmed, a figure that’s five per cent down on last year.
The 2008 event was attended by 194,288 and the 2007 one by 193,040, reports Andriasang, meaning this year’s attendance slightly tailed off.
However, visitors to the show’s second public day did amount to a record number, with 71,852 visitors, compared with 71,166 last year and 66,072 in 2007. The business days saw similar numbers attending to last year: 27,435 and 24,605 compared to 27,305 and 24,178. However, they were significantly less busier days than in 2007, when the breakdown was 29,783 and 32,390.
