News: RealNetworks suffers 15% drop in Q2 games revenue
RealNetworks has reported a 15 per cent decrease in its 2009 second quarter revenue; a fall which has contributed to an overall company revenue decline of 11 per cent.
Total revenue for the period was USD 135.7 million, which compares to USD 152.6 million in the second quarter of 2008. The company’s net loss for the accounting period totalled USD 188.3 million; compared to USD 1.3 million the year previous.
In its breakdown of businesses, decreases of 10 per cent were experienced in its Technology Products and Solutions division, 34 per cent in Media Software and Services and 15 per cent in revenue.
